The only 17-year-old Dutch rider Sanne Thijssen is on fire at the Costa del Sol Tour in Mijas. Last week she took home the victory in the CSI2* Grand Prix and today she made it a back-to-back win with her amazing stallion Con Quidam RB (Quinar x Cardino). Meanwhile in Vilamoura, Italy’s Matteo Zamana snatched the victory riding Ramita Mail.

There were no clears in the first round of the CSI2* Grand Prix of Mijas, but the twelve best combinations returned for the second round. Thijssen, who finished on a time penalty in the first round, won the Grand Prix with a difference of almost six seconds aboard her wonderful stallion Con Quidam RB. Great-Britain’s Frank Stevens became runner-up riding Brutus III (Billy Congo x Galvano), while Germany’s Thomas Weinberg and Clayton (Cartani x Capo) finished third.

Italy’s Matteo Zamana took home the victory in the CSI2* Grand Prix of Vilamoura. Riding Ramita Mail (Jaguar Mail x Alligator Fontaine) he defeated Norway’s Marit Skollerud by less than a second. On the well-bred Barcelona (Mr. Blue x Voltaire) Marit ended up second. France’s Romain Potin settled for the third spot aboard Tzigano Massuere (Cassini II x Burggraaf).
