The Riviera Sun Tour in San Giovanni in Marignano hosts a CSI4* event in its last week of competition, with home hero Juan Carlos Garcia (ITA) and speed demon Harold Boisset (FRA) topping the two 1.50 Longines Ranking classes taking place on Friday and Saturday.

Friday's two-phase class presented by Huawei had 73 riders in, and no less than thirty of them produced double clear rounds. In the second phase, Garcia was the fastest stopping the clock at 30.07 seconds aboard Gitano V Berkenbroeck (Nabab de Revel x Ti Amo van het Lambroeck). It was a tight victory as runner-up Fabio Crotta (SUI) followed only 0.01 seconds behind on Tess de Jalesnes (Baloubet du Rouet x Allegretto). Gerfried Puck (AUT) followed in third place with a time of 30.94 seconds aboard Bionda 3 (Phin Phin x Tangelo van de Zuuthoeve), while Petronella Andersson (SWE) was fourth and Ben Talbot (GBR) fifth.

Saturday's 1.50m, also presented by Huawei, was against the clock and saw Harold Boisset (FRA) taking the top honors with his speedy T'Obetty du Domaine (Kashmir van't Schuttershof x Diams du Grasset). Almost a second separated Boisset from runner-up Constant Van Paesschen (BEL) on Compadre Van de Helle (Casall x Concerto II), while Adrien Rouchon (FRA) took the third place aboard Scala des Champs (Ideal de la Loge x Kannan). Simone Blum (GER) finished fourth, and Hans-Dieter Dreher (GER) fifth in this competition counting a little over 70 riders.
