It was Germany's own Christian Kukuk with the 9-year-old Limonchello NT (Lord Caletto x Calido I) that took home the win in CSI3* Grand Prix of Frankfurt after a four-horse jump-off.

The first round turned out to be a real challenge for the riders, with only four being clear and as many as 13 out of the 51 starters being eliminated or retiring. Three out of four in the jump-off were home riders, and it was only Italy's Luca Maria Moneta that flew another flag than that of the hosts.

Holger Hetzel started the jump-off riding Legioner 2 (Limbus x Calido I). Hetzel didn't take the shortest turns, but had a good canter with forward distances throughout the course crossing the finish line in 42,38 seconds. After him it was time for Markus Renzel with Cato 68 (Chequille x Ratsherr) and just by shortening the turns a bit he managed to shave a little off Hetzel's time finishing in 41,64 seconds and taking over the lead.

Luca Maria Moneta made a good try with the 9-year-old Herold N (Heartbreaker x Haydn), but four faults on the very last fence pushed him down the result list. Last to go was Christian Kukuk and Limonchello NT going all in for the win, and succeeding. It was a great round with short turns and a lot of canter that shaved more than a second off Renzel's time.

Fifth place went to Andreas Knippling with Tannenhof's Chacco Chacco (Chacco-Blue x Stakkato) after having one time penalty in the first round.
