Cameron Hanley produced the only double clear round of the CSI2* Grand Prix in Lier, to win Sunday's 1.45 competition in Belgium.
Hanley’s victory came aboard the nine-year-old gelding Cas 2 (C-Indoctro x Numero Uno) after they were one of eight combinations to make it into the second round. The jump-off course saw riders struggle to keep the fences standing, before Hanley and Cas 2 produced the winning round giving the pair their first Grand Prix win together.
Second and third went to home riders, courtesy of Wouter Devos on Tonik Hero (Ogano Sitte x Elegant d'Lile) that had the fastest time in the jump-off but on the expense of a rail. Kirsten Rombouts finished third on Wetric van Beek (Great Pleasure x Emilion).
