Felix Hassmann with a home win in Munich

Felix Hassmann took a win on home soil at the CSI4* event in Munich on Sunday. Riding the 14-year-old stallion Balzaci (Balou du Rouet x Ex Libris), Hassmann topped the ranks in the Grand Prix of Deutschen Kreditbank AG.

The 1.60m track set by Frank Rothenberger counted 12 obstacles and 15 efforts with the time allowed set to 61 seconds. Out of the 49 horse and rider combinations only nine cleared their way into the jump-off.

In the second round, counting eight efforts, Hassmann clocked the winning time of 33,83 seconds, leaving another home hero, Markus Beerbaum (GER) on the 9-year-old mare Charmed (Chacco Blue x Plural), to the runner-up position with a time of 34,52 seconds. Mario Stevens (GER) on the only 8-year-old gelding Landano (Lord Pezi x Indoctro) secured third place with a time of 34,82 seconds, while Luca Maria Moneta (ITA) on the 16-year-old gelding Connery (Cordobes II x Polydor) placed fourth with a time of 34,98 seconds. The fifth spot went to Werner Muff (SUI) on the 9-year-old gelding Cosby (Contendro I x Landadel) with a time of 35,53 seconds.
