The Italian riders made sure to secure both the first and the second place in the CSI3* Grand Prix at the Milano Winter Show in Vermezzo. Paolo Paini with Ottava Meraviglia di Ca’san G (For Pleasure x Caletto I) won the class after being clear in the jump-off, and crossing the finish line in 41,86 seconds. Luca Marziani ended up in runner-up position with Tokyo du Soleil (Montender x Papillon Rouge) when ending the shortened course in 43,00 seconds.

Niklaus Rutschi (SUI) finished third with a time of 44,10 seconds riding Cardano CH (Chameur x Apartigene v Schlösslihof), while Petronella Andersson (SWE) with Chloe (Chequille x Athletico) ended fourth and Giovanni Sapuppo (ITA) with Collinus (Nabab de Reve x Hemmingway) fifth.
