Italy's Piergiorgio Bucci won Tuesday's CSI2* Grand Prix in Valkenswaard with the 10-year-old mare Cuarta (Canto x Coriano). Bucci had no less than 75 competitors in the 1.45 competition counting for the Longines Ranking, and moved on to the jump-off that counted a total of twenty riders.

Against the clock, the Italian rider was more than one second faster than American runner-up Hilary McNerney on Z Acodate DDL (Acord II x Aldatus) while Belgium's Karel Cox took third place on Cor van de Wateringhoeve (Thunder van de Zuuthoeve x Lys de Darmen). Belgium's Pieter Devos finished fourth and Dutch rider Sander Geerink fifth.
