Denis Lynch was very pleased with Abbervail van het Dingeshof after winning the Grand Prix in Nörten-Hardenberg: "Abbervail is 15 now and he won Grand Prix classes already as an eight year old, so he is thinking with you. He knows what to do and when it starts."

On the question about how long he has been riding Abbervail van het Dingeshof, Denis said: " I got him as a seven year old and back then he was big and kind of slow, but he was always very careful."

This special class has been a goal for a while for the Irish rider: "I really wanted to win this class and bring the whip back home so that is why I brought Abbervail. And I have been training him for this class the last six or seven weeks. First we wanted to bring him to Shanghai, but we decided to go for the Golden Whip and it succeed."

Second placed Marlon Zanotelli had a great weekend in Nörten-Hardenberg: "I had a great weekend and I'm very happy with all the horses. Zerlin M is an amazing horse and I'm very happy to ride him. The biggest surprise this weekend was my eight year old, she did her first ranking class here and she won earlier today. But Zerlin M is very special and he fights for you. Then he is a natural fast horse and every time you go in to a jump-off you know you have the chance to win."

On the question about the show, Marlon answered: "This is a 3* show but it is more like a 5* and you are treated like a king."

Mario Stevens is another rider that had a great weekend and in the Grand Prix he ended third: "I haven't had Brooklyn for that long, but he has already delivered some really good results. He jumped great today, but to be first in such a jump-off with the rest of the fast ones behind you is not easy. I tried to put some pressure on them, but I didn't really managed to. My horse jumped great though and I'm very happy with him."
