At X-Bionic Sphere CSI4* in Samorin, Sunday's CSI4* 1.60m Grand Prix went to Rowan Willis from Australia and his 11-year-old mare Blue Movie (Chacco Blue x Pilot).

The class that was jumped over two rounds and counted as a qualifier for the European Championships in Gothenburg in August as well as the 2018 World Equestrian Games, counted 42 riders and twelve riders moved on to the second round.

In the second round Willis was one of only two riders to go clear, and he beat runners up Marcel Marschall (GER) and Utopia (Concas Z x Chambertin) by 1,86 seconds. Following in third place was Christine McCrea (USA) riding Nektarina B (Nekton x Lancer II) who had to see one fence down in the second round.

Gert-Jan Bruggink (NED) finished fourth with Charmeur (Cristallo x Oldenburg) and Marcel Wolf (GER) was number five aboard Hunter C (Cabrio van de Heffinck x Concord).
