It was Dutch rider Vincent Vermeulen that ended up as the winner of the CSI3* Longines Grand Prix in Guangzhou, China after being the only double clear of the class. Vermeulen rode the 10-year-old gelding Ceylon (Van Gogh x Legaat). Second place went to Ruiji Liang (CHN) with the 9-year-old Indiana van’t Heike (Darco x Nabab de Reve) after having three time faults in the jump-off.
Olivier Guillon (FRA) took the third place with GRC Tadmus (Tadmus x Clover Brigade). Guillon had the fastest time in the jump-off, but with four faults he fell down in the ranks. Zhenqiang Li (CHN) ended fourth with Gitania V G (Cicero Z x Chellano Z) while Ciren Bianba (CHN) with High Sky du Sud (Thunder van de Zuuthoeve x Caretano) ended fifth after being the fastest rider with four faults in the first round.
