The three star Grand Prix in Drachten presented by Provincie Fryslân, was won by home rider Willem Greve. The Dutch rider was aboard his top horse Carambole (Cassini I x Concerto Ii), and was the fastest rider in the jump-off that counted fourteen pairs. Exactly 0.5 seconds separated Greve from runner-up Karim El Zoghby on Amelia (Cantos x Numero Uno). Third place went to another home rider; Robert Vos on Interline H (Indoctro x Elmshorn).

"We trust each other twohundred percent and then you can occasionally take risks like today," said Willem Greve after his win. "Carambole is an amazingly good horse. I've always believed in him."
