Wilm Vermeir (BEL) is in top form at the moment, and took another win when topping Sunday's CSI5* Longines Grand Prix of St. Moritz worth 250 000 CHF.
This was Vermeir's second win of the weekend at the Swiss event, and it came on the 9-year-old gelding Iq van het Steentje (Toulon x Kannan). Against a field of 40 other riders, the Belgian riders was one of nine making it to the jump-off where four repeated their clean sheets from the first round.
With a time of 36.72 seconds, Vermeir was by far the fastest leaving Robert Whitaker (GBR) and Catwalk IV (Colman x Corleone) to runner-up position after stopping the clock at 38.20. Alain Jufer (SUI) was the best of the home riders to finish third with Rahmannshof Tic Tac (Contact van de Heffinck x Fuego du Prelet), with a time of 38.62 seconds. The last double clear belonged to Bronislav Chudyba (SVK) on Zapria (Colman x Landlord), who finished fourth. Fastest of all was Nicola Philippaerts (BEL) and H&M Harley v. Bisschop (Dulf van den Bisschop x Coronado), but with one rail down they had to settle for fifth.
