Home pair Christian Ahlmann and Casuality Z (Cassini III x Chellano Z) won the Youngster Tour Final at CHIO Aachen. The Youngster Tour is open for seven and eight year olds, and 16 seven year olds and 20 eight year olds took part of the competition. As many as 16 horses went clear in the first round, so the jump-off turned out to be a real race against the clock.

Bertram Allen was first to go in the jump-off with Cheese W Z (Chatman x Galoubet), and the Irish rider put some real pressure on the rest of the field with his 40,47 seconds. Allen - who has been on fire lately - kept the lead all the way to the end when Christian Ahlmann shaved off some hundreds on the time and ended the shortened track in 40,23 seconds.

Brazil's Marlon Modolo Zanotelli was the one getting closest to the two riders in the top with his time of 40,62 seconds. Marlon rode the 7 year old Icarus (Querlybet Hero x Skippy II). Scott Brash ended fourth with Lord & Lady Harris and Lord & Lady Kirkham's Hello M'Lord (Krake Ask x Crelido) and German rider Felix Hassmann took the fifth place with Horse Gym's Balance (Balou du Rouet x Landadel).
