In the week leading up towards the Rolex IJRC Top 10 Final in Geneva, World of Showjumping presents the ten riders that will compete. We move on to Kent Farrington, who will defend his title from last year.

Name: Kent Farrington

Age: 35

Country: USA

Current world rank (N° 191): No. 4

No. of times in the Rolex IJRC Top 10 Final: Two (2014 and 2015)

Best result in the Rolex IJRC Top 10 Final: Kent won the Final last year, in Geneva with Voyeur

No. of months in the Top 10 during 2016 (January-November rankings N° 181-N° 191): Eleven

Best world rank during 2016: No. 2 (Ranking N° 188)

Thrills from 2016: Farrington has won so many classes during the year, and the highlights include the Longines FEI World Cup in Lexington as well as Wellington, the Big Ben Challenge in Toronto, the American Gold Cup at Old Salem Farm, the Longines Grand Prix of St. Moritz and the Grand Prix for the Kingdom of Bahrain Trophy at Windsor. In addition, the American rider won the team silver medal at the Olympic Games in Rio aboard Voyeur

Spills from 2016: If any, it must be finishing just outside the individual medals in Rio after two down in the six-horse jump-off to end 5th
