2012 Olympic Champion Nino des Buissonnets was honored with a beautiful retirement ceremony in Geneva on Sunday evening. There was not an empty seat to be seen in Palexpo, as the Swiss crowds met up to pay tribute to Steve Guerdat's super star.

There was not a dry eye either, and it was an emotional Guerdat that thanked his 15-year-old partner from the sport seeing a fantastic career come to an end. With his family, team and rider colleagues present Guerdat took the saddle off Nino des Buissonnets following his last international appearance in the Rolex Grand Prix of Geneva where the pair finished 12th after a first clear round.
