CSIO5* Aachen 2016

We have captured some of the emotions during the second round in the Rolex Grand Prix of Aachen. First out is Judy-Ann Melchior who had an amazing weekend with As Cold As Ice Z, double clear in the Nations Cup and a total of 5 penalties after two difficult rounds in the Grand Prix. Another good day at work for Daniel Deusser. Five faults from the first round followed by a clear second round placed him eight with Equita van´t Zorgvliet.

Ursula XII was back in top form to take second place in the Grand Prix. The now 15-year-old mare has been out with injuries since 2014, but is finally back were she should be. And what an impressive Rolex Grand Prix record for Scott Brash - once again being placed among the very best!

McLain Ward did not win the Grand Prix with HH Azur like many predicted, but we are most certainly looking forward to see them in Rio.

A focused Martin Fuchs on his way into the second round. After a super first round with Clooney the Swiss rider had only 1 time penalty. Unfortunately Clooney decided to go for the ingate after the penultimate fence and Martin was forced to make a circle to jump the final oxer, with the result of 9 penalties.

All pressure on Gerco Schröder. After only one time fault in the first round he knew he would win the Grand Prix if he could produce a clear second round. But it was not Gerco's day. He had to add four faults to his total score, pushing him all the way down to 12th.
