It was all about Germany's Marcus Ehning at this year's edition of CHIO Aachen.
First he clinched the victory for Germany in Thursday's Mercedes-Benz Nations Cup, then he went on to win Sunday's Rolex Grand Prix – both with Pret A Tout. The gelding was awarded with the Halla Challenge Tophy as the most successful horse of the show, but it did not stop there as Ehning himself received the Prize of the Federal Minister of the Interior – a special trophy to the best jumping athlete of the entire show, presented by the Federal Minister of the Interior.
Only one point separated Ehning from Steve Guerdat (SUI), while Luciana Diniz (POR) followed three points behind the German rider on the overall standings.
