Bosty on being last to go in the ring in the second round; ”I knew I could have two down and still be in the top three. I told myself to do my best – each day I do the same and ride with pleasure. And my horse did the maximum to be clear!”

Ben on his performance; “Cella was amazing today, it was a silly fence to have down – but it was very wide and it was there to be jumped. She got a little too careful and we were a little bit far away. I knew it was going to be expensive at the time, and she jumped a great second round for me. I put as much pressure as I could do on Roger today, but he was too good today and congratulation to him!”

Scott on moving up to earn the bronze medal and on Hello Sanctos; “My horse has been fantastic the whole week, and he has jumped better and better each day. I think it’s only top horses that can do that. It just shows how good a horse he is. He was a joy to ride today!”

Bosty on whether Myrtille Paulois is hard to control; “In this ring here she has been very good – more relaxed as there is more space to the audience. She can be a little difficult, but I manage – it’s my job [… ] She’s very careful, and she always helps me. And she has a lot of scope, otherwise she wouldn’t have been jumping these fences I suppose.”

Ben on Cella; “Cella is more of a machine than a horse. She is amazing, she’s temperamental sometimes – but she knows her job. For her first championship, I couldn’t be more happy. She still has a bit to learn I think, and I think maybe this week she maybe got a bit tired as the rounds went on – but she jumped very well in the last round. I have a lot to thank Jane Clark for – and for giving me the ride. And also all the people here through the British Equestrian Federation, the whole team – they helped us to be as good as we could this week.”

Scott on the tracks; “I think Frank and his team has done a fantastic job all week […] He has just build wider and more technical as the week went on, and I think the best horses have come to the top of the class. Today was very hard, the time was quite tight – that was the only thing but it definitely helped in my favor. The course I thought was perfect in the second round.”

Ben on the time allowed in the first round; “The time was a factor today, it helped me and Scott I believe as we have very fast horses. It wasn’t impossible to meet the time you just had to be aware of it.”
