The Olympic Games London 2012

Julia Hargreaves about her Olympic experience so far: "I didn't think I'd make it this far in the first place. When I got here I was happy to jump around the first day and in the team competition, and put it under my belt as experience. I have been very happy with how he [Vedor] has gone, he has been looking after me incredibly well. It is no better horse to be on for your first games and I am not a super relaxed competitor so he really looked after me." So you have been nervous? "You have no idea!"

Marcus Ehning on his clear round today on Plot Blue: "Almost everything was as I planned today, it was a really good round. I couldn't see anyone go before me so I had planned to do four strides after the second combination, but several people said it would be hard so thanks to the experience of my horse I could easily make five strides instead. I think that was the right decision and I was still within the time."

Nick Skelton on the fantastic Big Star: "He has everything needed in a horse: All the scope, super careful, very brave, it is an intelligent head on him and he is good to ride. I got him when he was seven years old."

Marcus and Plot Blue set the first clear of the day.

Jens Fredricson; "The biggest challenge with today's course whas that no line was easy, you had to make your plan and be very sure about how many strides  you would do between every fence."

Reed Kessler on her Olympic debut: "I am eighteen years old and this is my first major championship, and I am really happy to have three solid performances under a great deal of pressure. I was surprised to have the water today, but I think it was a bit harder today away from the entrance. She [Cylana] jumped the water really good yesterday. The courses are getting bigger and harder every day. I actually love Bob Ellis' courses. My horse is amazing, I can't say enough good things about her. I wanted a medal not just for my country but I wanted it for her."

Janne Friederike Meyer after her round today: "I will ride no more championships with Lambrasco. We have given everything over the last three years and held nothing back. It is enough now. Even if I would have qualified, I already knew during the round that I would not start in the individual final."
