Christian Glienewinkel and Professional Aircare (Perpignon x Don Juan) were the only pair that cleared the demanding Hamburg Derby track on Sunday, to take the win home for Germany. Glienewinkel's victory was the result of a beautiful round, and the German rider made the tough course look easy.

Andre Thieme, who is a derby specialist and already won the derby in Hamburg, ended second with Voigtsdorfs Quonschbob (Querlybet Hero x Caletto II) after having four faults in a time of 162,60 seconds.

Germany totally dominated the traditional derby by taking the top eight positions in the competition. Andre Plath with Afp's Cosmic Blue (Chacco-Blue x Juventus) was about a second slower than Thieme and then followed Janne-Friederike Meyer with the only eight year old Cellagon Anna (Asca x Contendro I). Carsten-Otto Nagel has participated in the derby several times with Lex Lugar (Lordanos x Landadel) in the hope to win the honorable title - this year he had to settle for the fifth place.

Christian has had Professional Aircare since he was five and knew early that he had what it takes to jump the derby. The pair gave it a go already in 2011, but after his win Christian said that he was way too nervous back then.
