The winner Scott Brash was last to go in the jump-off and said this: "You always have an advantage being the last rider, knowing what you have to do and what you have to beat. And Daniel set up a real tough standard I thought, so I just had to go as quick as I could and fortunately it was fast enough."

Runner up Daniel Deusser commented: "First of all I'm very happy with my horse and think I got a really good round in the jump-off. But of course with all that Scott has won the last couple of month and the last year with that horse I was quite sure that if he was last to go in a class like this he
would probably be faster."

Third place Simon Delestre got the question about the turn that he and Daniel did in the jump-off: "I think that turn was quite fast and saved us some time. I did one stride more in the beginning of the jump-off, but I finished really quick and for sure we have two very fast horses in front of me. I'm very happy with my horse today, he really fought for me and did everything I asked him for."

Scott Brash was thrilled about the class and the courses: "It was top sport today and Frank Rothenberger has done an unbelievable job. It was big, it was hard, it was technical, it was as difficult as you expect here in Aachen. With the best riders and horses here you knew it would
be tough. He certainly did a great job to get faults all over the course and not just in one area. All over it was difficult and I don't think a fence in Aachen is easy. To get seven in to the third round and have a fast jump-off was great for the spectators."

Scott has earlier on been saying that Hello Sanctos doesn't like Aachen and that if he could chose he would pick another horse for this show as well as for the Europeans: "If you had asked me yesterday I would still have told you that he doesn't like Aachen," Scott laughed and continued: "I took him in for the warm-up the very first day and he was trying to run out of the ring. It is funny because he jumps great in every arena but Aachen, and last year he just did not feel comfortable at all and the first day here he didn't felt comfortable either. Yesterday it was a bit better, but today it was just fantastic! It is like he understands it now and he is not afraid anymore. He went better and better for every round."

Of course Scott got the question about whether he will take Sanctos to the  European Championships especially with the competition being so close to the Rolex Grand Slam Grand Prix at Spruce Meadows: "The Europeans are very important for Great Britain this year and I only have one horse that can jump the Europeans and that is Sanctos. I think I have to make a program - I will talk to my owners and to the team manager and discuss what we will plan for Sanctos."

What will you do with the money? "I just bought a new yard in England, so the money helps to make the facilities nicer for the horses and that is what I will try to do."

Scott has to participate in the Rolex Grand Prix at Spruce Meadows to get his 500.000 Euro bonus, which was news for him: "Even if I have a broken leg I will still go through that start line," Scott said making everyone laughs.

"To win one leg is already hard enough and to win two is really difficult so it will be really, really tough to win a third one. For sure we would be silly not to try," Scott answered on the question about if he thinks he has the chance to win the third Rolex Grand Prix in a row and get the 1 million Euro bonus.
