During the weekend in Olomouc 50 riders qualified for the main class of the show; the Grand Prix Sunday afternoon. The riders got a difficult task clearing Olaf Petersen’s 160 course and they also got challenged by the weather as a thunderstorm arrived during the class which resultet in ten riders never crossing the finish line.

Six riders produced a clear first round and went on the the jump-off, while four riders were clear but due to time penalties they were out of the game. Three riders produced a clear jump-off as well with Germany’s Maximilian Schmid  as the fastest one aboard Chacon 2 (Chacco Blue x Aventyno). “It was an honour for me to participate at this Olomouc event. It was a great show for which I thank both the organizers and great spectators,“ the winner said. “It was the first Grand Prix of such a difficulty for Chacon so I am really satisfied that I have won. When we went for the first round, I was little bit worried about what will happen. The combination before us cleared the round and the audience applauded so loudly that my horse spooked little bit. But we did manage to clear the round and to repeat the same result in the jump-off. Roland Englbrecht rode after me and I know that he is very good. Given that I did not manage to cut the track to one of the obstacles as I wanted, I doubted that we could win. At the end, Roland was 15 hundreds of second slower and I could enjoy our victory,“ Maximilian Schmid added.

Second place went to Roland Englbrecht and Mevisto´s Poorboy (Conterno Grande x Argentinus) from Austria, while Balasz Horvath and Zordon (Ginus x Goliath) representing Hungary came third.

The British combination Ben Talbot and his new ride Sacramento (Leendert x Corlando) had the fastest jump-off, but took a lot of risk and were eventually number five at eight faults. Another quick rider Gerfried Puck and Bionda (Phin Phin x Tangelo Van De Zuuthoeve) were number four with a fence down in the jump-off.
