The conflict around Douglas Lindelöw’s Casello moves on to the court room. As reported yesterday, the 12-year-old gelding by Casall x Carolus I has ended in the middle of a huge legal battle. One of the co-owners of the horse wants to sell – but refuses the offers from the Lindelöw-family who wants to buy Casello to secure the horse for Douglas.

“Casello is in a joint ownership, and this is what now has complicated the case further,” Agnetha Lindelöw explains to World of Showjumping. “Through a partnership form that in Swedish is called ‘enkla bolag’, Casello is owned with equal parts by us and the co-owner that wants to sell. Now, the third owner – who owns 25 % of Casello outside the partnership – has seen it necessary to attempt to stop the sales process and has delivered a motion to the city court in Lund,” Lindelöw comments. “The aim is to bring the sales process to a complete halt in order to clear up the dispute around the ownership, which has been an ongoing case since September."
