CSI2* Aachen (GER)

At the CSI2* show in Aachen, Brazil’s Marlon Modolo Zanotelli won the 1.45 Grand Prix on the 11-year-old Diamant de Semilly-son Rock’n Roll de Semilly. Ten riders moved on to the jump-off, where Zanotelli produced the fastest round with a time of 37.58. In second came Great Britain’s Jessica Mendoza on Spirit T (Tornado X Carneval Drum), stopping the clock at 38.18 seconds. Third place went to home rider Jens Baackmann on Carmen 255 (Cornet Obolensky x Contender), who was another second behind Mendoza.

“Every win is important, but to win in Aachen is a very special feeling! Even if it’s not in the big arena. The facilities are so amazing, they should use it more in this way. The stadium, the stables, the whole place is perfect and it was easy to have a good performance here!” said Marlon after his win.

CSI2* Lummen (BEL)

Maurice van Roosbroeck took a home win in the CSI2* 1.45 Grand Prix in Lummen. Riding the 9-year-old gelding Cuidam (Verdi x Chellano Z), Van Roosbroeck produced one of only two clear rounds to move on to the jump-off where he won with a time penalty as his compatriot Geoffrey Geerts had two rails down on Gaillardo d'Arsouilles (Querlybet Herxo x Apache du Forest). The third Belgium rider on the podium was Thierry Goffinet on Navarro UK (Darco x Rox de la Touche), who recorded a time penalty in the first round.

CSI2* Barbizon (FRA)

French riders topped the 1.45 Grand Prix on home soil in Barbizon, with Camille Conde Ferreira leading the way on Pirole de la Chatre (Flipper d’Elle x Prince Ig’Or). The 17-year-old French rider, a gold medalist from last year’s Europeans for juniors, was almost a second faster in the jump-off than runner-up Margaux Bost aboard As de Papignies (Kashmir van’t Schuttershof x Ahorn Z), while Marie Hecart came in third on HH Quatuor (Col Canto x Rosire).

CSI2* Linz (AUT)

In pouring rain, Poland’s Pole Msciwoj Kiecon won the CSI2* 1.45 Grand Prix of Linz-Ebelsberg. Eleven riders went clear in the first round, and moved on to the jump-off where six again repeated their clean sheets. Aboard the 11-year-old mare Celana Z (Chellano Z x Hugo), Kiecon was the fastest stopping the clock at 40.68 seconds as last to go. Germany’s Maximilian Lill and the 15-year-old Capuccino 8 (Clerus x Mytens Xx) finished as runners-up in 40.98 seconds, while almost two seconds behind came third placed Justin Resnik from USA on Carismo Z (Carthago x Galant de la Cour).
