Following an accident at Spruce Meadows yesterday, Double H Farm and Quentin Judge's HH Memphis had to be put to sleep. The 10-year-old gelding by Armitage x Cruising was competing in his first class at Spruce Meadows on Wednesday morning, when he had a freak accident breaking his leg. "We were unable to move him and the prognosis for recovery was very poor. We'll miss him very much and are grateful for having gotten to know this special guy," reads a statement on Double H Farm's Facebook page.

HH Memphis competed up to 1.50 level with Judge in the saddle, and before that with Great Britain's William Funnel.

Our condolences go out to the entire team at Double H Farm.
