Michael Whitaker’s long-time partner Amai (Nonstop x Bacara) has been retired from the sport after a long and successful career. According to studforlife.com the 16-year-old gelding will enjoy his retirement in the fields at Whitaker’s yard in England.

Michael Whitaker and Amai won the prestigious Rolex Grand Prix in Aachen in 2012 as well as the World Cup in Verona in 2009 and in London in 2010. The two were also a part of the British team for the World Equestrian Games in Kentucky in 2010 in addition to numerous Nations Cups which includes victories at Hickstead in 2010 and in Dublin in 2011.

We wish Amai a wonderful and well deserved retirement.
