Peter Weinberg is the new coach for the Belgian senior showjumpers.

The German follows Dirk Demeersman, who last year decided not to re-new his contract with the Belgian Equestrian Federation. Demeersman will now for a short period of time work alongside Weinberg to ensure a smooth transition of responsibilities.

Weinberg, who lives in Aachen, was for years assistant coach of the German team led by Herbert Meier. He also has a successful career as a rider behind him, and was a member of the German A and B-squads as well as representing Germany in several Nations Cups.
