Gianni Govoni (ITA) won Saturday's 1.55m Glock's Perfection Tour in Villach riding Antonio (Oklund x Dick Z). With 2,5 seconds down to runners-up Werner Muff and Cosby (Contendro I x Landadel) in round two of the competition, it was a convincing victory the pair deilivered.

The class saw 29 riders to start and 15 of them produced a clear first round to qualify for the second. Around the shortened track four riders delivered another clear, with Govoni and Muff on top. The two were followed by home rider Julia Houtzager-Kayser and Sterrehof’s Cayetano Z (Caretano Z x Cor de la Bruyere) in third, Cameron Hanley (IRL) and Quirex (Quirando x Concept) in fourth and Jur Vrieling (NED) and Corporal VDL (Cardento x Grosso Z) in fifth.

"Antonio is a very special horse, that has his very own routines. We always try to keep him calm, as he can get very hot and inpatient. He has a huge capacity, but he jumps in his own way. Of course, we will try our best in the Glock’s 3* Grand Prix tomorrow," Govoni said after the win.

Earlier during the day Wilm Vermeir (BEL) with Hacienda d’Eversem (Contact van de Heffinck x Sheyenne de Baugy) won the 1.45m Glock's Perfection Tour ahead of Constant van Paesschen (BEL) with Calore van de Helle (Casall x Lord), Marc Houtzager (NED) with Sterrehof’s Bylou (Phin Phin x Niveau), Ben Schröder (NED) with Glock’s Champions Ludwig (Ludwigs Ass x Karandasj) and Gerfried Puck (AUT) with Bionda 3 (Phin Phin x Tangelo van de Zuuthoeve).
