Pieter Devos was the winner of Sunday's Bordeaux Grand Prix presented by Land Rover after a fast and efficient jump-off aboard his chestnut gelding Apart (Larino x Burggraaf).

Today's Grand Prix saw only seven riders qualifying for the jump-off compared to 19 riders in yesterday's World Cup. The jump-off course was a very traditional one with seven fences and eight jumps that included sharp turns and open stretches including a long gallop down to the final oxer.

Devos and Apart did everything to perfection and although their round did not look crazy fast, they won with 0,89 seconds down to Bertram Allen (IRL) and Izzy by Picobello (Cicero Z x Capriano) who secured runner-up position. Ludger Beerbaum (GER) and Chaman (Baloubet du Rouet x I Love You) claimed third place, while Penelope Leprevost and Ratina d'la Rousserie (Quaprice Bois Margot x Apache d'Adriers) was the best French combination in fourth.

After the class Pieter Devos was of course very happy with his 12-year-old partner. Apart was developed by Devos' wife Caroline Poels-Devos until Devos took over the reins more permanently at the beginning of the 2016-season. Apart is now one of Devos' best horses and according to his rider a name to look out for ahead of the upcoming season.
