Kevin Staut secured a French win in the first CSI5*-W 1.50m in Gothenburg on Thursday evening after a blistering fast round aboard Unna de Kerglenn Hdc (Cap Kennedy*bois Margot x Diamant de Semilly). Following Staut on the result list were two other fast riders, Nicola Philippaerts (BEL) with Ustina Sitte (Clinton x Parco) and Simone Deleste (FRA) riding Chesall Zimequest (Casall x Concerto 4).

Earlier in the evening the speed was quite different as most of the riders used the 1.40m class as a warm-up, this resulting in several riders retiring and many of them collecting time faults. Denis Lynch (IRL) had another plan though and won the class aboard Ho Go Van de Padenborre (Darco x Chin Chin). Home rider Henrik von Eckermann came second with Lucky Silvana Z (L.Silver Joter Z x Cortez 679) and Olivier Robert (FRA) was third riding Fleur de Lune (For Pleasure x Literat).
