Shooting star HH Callas and her rider, World Cup winner McLain Ward, are currently making headlines in the US. HH Callas, registered with Springpferdezuchtverband Oldenburg-International (OS), is conquering North American show jumping venues by winning and achieving top placings in Grand Prix.

HH Callas was discovered as a foal at the Summer Mixed Sales at the Oldenburg Horse Center in Germany. Wouldn’t you also like to purchase a future star? From a tranquil village in northern Germany, right to the top internationally: HH Callas, OS, born 2007, by Albatros out of Traumfee by Quattro B - Landadel, bred by Harm Flessner, Ihlow, owned by Double H Farm, USA, was sold to the Netherlands as a foal at the Summer Mixed Sales in Vechta for 3,500 Euro. In 2013 the chestnut mare competed with her Swiss rider, Philippe Meier, in the World Championships for young show jumpers in Lanaken, Belgium, and performed a faultless round in the first qualifier in the class for six-year olds.

The OS mare HH Callas made her international breakthrough the middle of July in 2015 in her very first Grand Prix under her American rider, Danielle Laurenzo Torano. The couple impressively won the $ 30,000 prize Otter Creek Grand Prix in East Dorset, Vermont, and the American equestrian scene immediately took notice of the mare. Just a year after the couple’s triumph in East Dorset they spectacularly won the Otter Creek Grand Prix again. In 2016 they took fourth place in Wellington in a 1.50 m show jumping test, second place in the Grand Prix of Devon as well as sixth place in the World Cup show jumping competition in Lexington, USA, a 1.60 m test.

In January 2017, the Double H Farm in Florida purchased the chestnut mare to support the American rider McLain Ward. The team gold medal winner had already won many top tests and has successfully participated in international championships for the US. With HH Callas in his stables, the number two on the world ranking list can seamlessly jump into the hoof prints of his other successful horses, Sapphire, HH Azur, Antares F and Rothchild. HH Callas and McLain Ward have already placed fifth in a million dollar Grand Prix, a 1.60 m show jumping test in Ocala, and won a 1.45 m show jumping test in Wellington.
