The 1.40m Sparkassen Youngster Tour Final in Aachen went to Lorenzo De Luca (ITA) on the 8-year-old mare Jeunesse van't Paradijs (Emerald van´T Ruytershof x Heartbreaker).

Out of the 30 pairs that had qualified for the final, 14 produced clear rounds and the jump-off turned out to be a really fast one. De Luca clocked the winning time of 39,46 seconds, and was very happy with his mare: "I am really pleased with my 8-year-old, she jumped super," Lorenzo told World of Showjumping after the class. "She has been one of my favourites for the past year that I have had her, and today she proved again how careful and scopey she is," he explained and went on to highlight the importance of having an opportunity to bring the younger horses to shows like this: "It is good to bring the young horses here - they can jump the big water and under the lights. It is a very good experience for them. I hope we can keep this horse and let her grow into the sport like we have done with a few other ones - like Halifax, he was also here in the youngster final two years ago."

Meredith Michaels-Beerbaum (GER) on the 8-year-old gelding Calle 67 (Carell x Capitalist) ended second with a time of 40,26, followed by Scott Brash (GBR) in third place riding the 8-year-old gelding Hello Senator (Carambole x Indoctro) with a time of 41,22. Bertram Allen (IRL) and the 7-year-old mare Calafrieda (Canto 16 x Lavall 5) were placed fourth with 41,45 seconds, and number five was Andreas Kreuzer (GER) on the 7-year-old gelding Figor (Zagreb (BEL) x C-Indoctro) at 41,54 seconds.

Earlier in the day, Maurice Tebbel (GER) won the German U25 Trophy of the Stiftung Deutscher Spitzenpferdesport, the Prize of Family Müter, riding the 8-year-old stallion Don Diarado (Diarado x Lord Lancer) with the time 48,85 seconds in the jump-off. Marisa Braig (GER) and the 11-year-old gelding Pablito van Erpekom (Pablo v.Berkenbroeck x Udarco van Overs) ended second with the time 52,07. Third place went to Alexander Potthoff (GER) on the 12-year-old mare Quinara 27 (Quidam´s Rubin x Grannus) at 55,92 seconds.
