USA's Lucas Porter and his 13-year-old mare B Once Z (Baloubet du Rouet x Lavaletto) recorded their career best in Ommen on Saturday when taking the top honours in the CSI4* 1.50m BPV Belastingadviseurs Trophy against the clock.

The competition counting for the Longines Ranking had 55 riders in it, but only nine of them managed to produce a clear round. Fastest of them all was the 19-year-old Porter on his little bay mare, who is always a danger against the clock. It was a close call though, as only 0.01 seconds was what home rider Jur Vrieling left in between on in-form Acascia (Diamant de Semilly x Acord II) that he recently won no less than three five-star competitions with in Falsterbo.

Third place went to German eventing legend Michael Jung riding Fischersolution (Carthino Z), 0.64 behind Porter's winning time. Gert Jan Bruggink was the second home rider in the top five, ending fourth while Brazil's Yuri Mansur ended fifth.

In the 1.45m Medium Tour Final powered by Elanco Animal Health & European Lease Company, also counting for the Longines Ranking, it was again Sweden's Peder Fredricson and H&M Carat Desire (Carinjo x Latus II) that won. 0.50 seconds behind followed Germany's Marcus Ehning, while Lucas Porter was again in the ribbons ending third.
