Stephan Ellenbruch new Chair of the FEI Jumping Committee

Stephan Ellenbruch (GER) was elected as Chair of the FEI Jumping Committee at Tuesday's FEI General Assembly in Montevideo (URU). Ellenbruch takes over after John Madden (USA), that has been Chair since 2011. 

Ellenbruch was a member of the FEI Jumping Committee from November 2012 until 2016, and was also Deputy Chair from 2015-2016. He has been a member of several FEI Working Groups, and has been a FEI Jumping Judge since 2000. Ellenbruch has worked as President of the Ground Jury, Foreign Judge, Member of the Ground Jury and President of the Appeal Committee at major equestrian events such as Championships, Games and other major events all over the world. 

Ellenbruch will resign his current post as President of the International Jumping Officials' Club (IJOC) at the General Assembly in February 2018.

New in the FEI Jumping Committee is also Santiago Varela (ESP) who replaces outgoing member Kamal Bahamdan (KSA). 

John Madden, outgoing 1st Vice President and Chair of the FEI Jumping Committee, was made Honorary Vice President of the FEI at the General Assembly.
