Harrie Smolders’ groom Alex Tyler-Morris looks back at the year that soon comes to an end, selecting some of his favourite shots by World of Showjumping from 2017. Here's why these two pictures made Alex’s list:

“It’s difficult to choose between these two pictures of Don VHP Z: One is a complete action shot marking the end of a week where all the hard work paid off at the Europeans with the individual silver medal. The other is taken in Geneva with a little more of a relaxed feeling. It marks the end of a fantastic year coming to a close, with a dream of mine, competing in the Rolex IJRC Top 10 Final and a fourth place in the Rolex Grand Prix. They are definitely both worthy of a place on the wall!”
