Dobel's Cento (Capitol I x Caletto II) has passed away at the age of 29. The grey stallion was hugely successful with Germany's Otto Becker in the saddle. Becker, who is now the Chef d'Equipe of the German jumping team, recorded some of the best results of his career with Cento, winning the 2002 FEI World Cup Finals in Leipzig and taking multiple major championship medals as part of the German team. 

”Cento was 29-years-old now and was fit to the end and had a very good life as wished for him after a long career", Otto Becker tells World of Showjumping. "He was such a personality. I saw him every day and he was a very special horse. I have had many good horses, but he was really something special. I got him in the end of his 5th year and competed him until he was seventeen – and we competed at international shows for eleven years. There are very few horses that can keep that level for so many years. Cento was a big horse but was like a thoroughbred in his mentality and was very careful and sensitive. He was very intelligent, he wanted to work and he always knew when it was important and he always fought. Cento was the horse of my lifetime.”
