Marcus Ehning (GER) and his new ride Firth of Lorne (For Pleasure x Stakkato) made their international debut in Nörten-Hardenberg this weekend, and won Saturday’s CSI3* 1,50m Championat after delivering the only double clear. “It was our fourth class together and we were all happily surprised about how easy he did it,” Ehning said after his win aboard the 14-year-old stallion that previously had a successful career with Katrin Eckermann before he was sold to the US.
Finja Bormann (GER) with A Crazy Son Of Lavina (Azzuro Classico 2 x Lavall I) ended second after being the fastest four-faulter in the jump-off. Emile Karim Fares (LBN) finished third riding Captain Z (Lord Z x Niveau) ahead of Michael Hughes (USA) with Virtuose d’Eole (Panama Tame x Helios de La Cour II) and Kendra Claricia Brinkop (GER) with Cordynox (Cornado NRW x Polydor).
