The hosts swept all competition aside in Sunday's CSI3* Grand Prix of Nörten-Hardenberg, the Preis der Gräflich von Hardenberg'schen Kornbrennerei & des Glaswerkes Ernstthal.

It was Markus Beerbaum that took home the win in this 1.60m Grand Prix, riding the 10-year-old mare Charmed (Chacco-Blue x Plural), being the fastest of the double clear pairs in the jump-off – that counted a total of seven horse-and-rider combinations.

“She is naturally fast, she always wants to go forward and it took me a bit longer to be able to control her urge to go forward,” Beerbaum says about Charmed after their win.

With a time of 37.22 seconds, there was not much that separated Beerbaum from runner-up Marcus Ehning who stopped the clocks at 37.28 seconds with the 12-year-old mare Cristy (Canturo x Landlord). “I couldn’t have done it better, he was just faster,” Ehning says after ending second.

Maurice Tebbel ended third with Don Diarado (Diarado x Lord Lancer), with a time of 37.96 seconds in the jump-off. Tebbel says this after his third place: “I’m in an unbelievable good position at the moment, since I have two really good horses in Don and Chaccos Son. I’m very thankful to the Family Müter that has secured both horses for me.”

With the two last double clears in the class, Mario Stevens took fourth place on Credo 17 (Caretino x Silvester) while Guido Klatte Jr. ended fifth on Qinghai (Quidam de Revel x Cordalme).
