Finding young talent for the future is one of the most interesting and exciting tasks in the equestrian world, but at the same time one of the most time consuming. The first edition of the showjumping auction The Youngsters offers a group of 25 very talented young showjumpers that are all selected on talent, conformation and health. These 2- up to 5-year-old showjumpers will be auctioned on Tuesday the 25th of September at Waaij Stud in Eemnes, The Netherlands.

The young, ambitious team of Suus Kuyten Horses and Waaij Stud joined forces to set up the first edition of The Youngsters. In the past months, Suus Kuyten, Harrie Wiering, Peter van der Waaij and Jasper van der Waaij have been searching intensively for interesting young talents to add to the auction collection. In addition, the collection also consists a great number of showjumpers bred and/or raised at Waaij Stud.

Fifteen 2- and 3-year-old showjumpers and ten 4- and 5-year-old showjumpers passed the strict selection and were added to the first edition of the collection of The Youngsters. The 2- and 3-year-old showjumpers all show talent for the future with their qualities in free jumping, their great movements and models and promising pedigrees. The collection consists of offspring by great sires like Casall, Douglas, Emerald, Harley VDL, Vigo d’Arsouilles, Mylord Carthago and Toulon.

The 4- and 5-year-old showjumpers are all ridden horses, varying from green, talented prospects to more experienced competition horses. These ridden horses are highly talented showjumpers with great movements, conformation and pedigrees that predict a promising future. The 4- and 5-year-old showjumpers are descending by some of world’s greatest sires as well, for instance Baloubet du Rouet, Action Breaker, Corland, Glasgow van ‘t Merelsnest and Nabab de Rêve.
