Saturday night's Credit Suisse Challenge at CHI Geneva saw Kent Farrington (USA) and Creedance (Lord Z x Notaris) go to the top.

The 1.55m class against the clock had a track that caused several riders a real headache, and it was mostly the two combinations that fell to the ground over and over again. Still, nine horse-and-rider combinations out of the 44 in the competition managed to clear the course – and that in full speed.

Carlos Enrique Lopez Lizarazo (COL), the very first rider, set the standard with Ulhane de Conde (Jarnac x Corland) when he cleared the course in 62.81 seconds. It took more then half the class before anyone could challenge Lopez Lizarazo, and it was the World Champion Simone Blum (GER) and DSP Alice (Askari x Landrebell) that shaved 0.46 seconds off the leading time to take over the pole position. 

Martin Fuchs (SUI) with Dubai du Bois Pinchet (Kashmir van Schuttershof x Andiamo) gave it a go, but was slightly slower than Lopez Lizarazo and finished fifth in the end. 

Bertram Allen (IRL) went full speed from the beginning and delivered a round in 60.54 seconds riding GK Casper (Canto x Quantum) – a time that looked impossible to beat. But never say never when Kent Farrington is still to go. Together with the feisty Creedance, the American rider did an incredible round without pulling back once, making the difficult course look like the easiest task in the world – shaving as much as 1.75 seconds off Allen’s time to take the win.
