After a year under Belgium’s Jerome Guery, the 12-year-old gelding Celvin (Raphael x Werther) moves on and will in the future be seen under Japan’s Mike Kawai. Guery bought Celvin last year, together with his friend Alexander Oancea – who also co-owned Guery’s former top horse Grand Cru van de Rozenberg.

When Guery bought the gelding, he had competed up to 1.50m level with Italy’s Alexa Larkin. Guery developed him further, and competed him successfully at five-star Grand Prix level during the 2018 and 2019-season.

On his official Facebook page, Guery states: “I wish the new couple a lot of success and I'm sure that Celvin will bring the same pleasure he brought me to his new rider.”
