Following a successful partnership, Constant Van Paesschen and Stoeterij Van de Helle part ways. Van Paesschen announced the news on his official Instagram page, writing:

“After six seasons of beautiful collaboration, our paths with Stoeterij Van de Helle separate. I had the pleasure to move the horses of the Van de Helle stables to the highest level and to achieve great success during these years with Diamanthina, Jilbert, Calore, Carlow and many others.

I want to thank Mr. Mais and his partner Edith for their trust in and support of me with their horses.

So I decided to start new challenges with the horses that are in my stables and with those that will join me in the future.”

The Belgian rider has had lots of success with the Van de Helle horses, winning two- and three-star Grand Prix classes in Canteleu, Salzburg and Oliva with Calore van de Helle, Isidoor van de Helle and Carlow van de Helle as well as taking several international victories from two- to five-star level.

“We stopped our collaboration with Constant in very good understanding,” Edith De Reys comments to World of Showjumping on behalf of Stoeterij Van de Helle. “We thank Constant for the good work and the great moments we had together.”

On the Van de Helle-horses’ future, De Reys says: “Jilbert van ’t Ruytershof will stay home to breed during the season and our home rider will work him on the flat. Constant bought Isidoor van de Helle, and a few other horses have also been sold. Carlow van de Helle and Compadre van de Helle are with Monique Van Den Broek in Holland.”
