Thank you Tripple X III!

Sunday, 28 July 2019
Thank you

Today, Tripple X III – winner of Olympic team gold in London back in 2012 with Ben Maher – is to be officially retired at Hickstead. A retirement ceremony will take place shortly before the Longines BHS King George V Gold Cup, a class Tripple X III won in 2013 with Maher.

After having huge success with Maher, who also bred Tripple X III, the now 17-year-old stallion went on to be sold in 2014 with Tiffany Foster taking over the reins. A year later, the pair helped Canada to team gold at the Pan American Games in Toronto. In 2016, the two represented Canada at the Olympic Games in Rio.

During his career, Tripple X III recorded several big wins at London Olympia, Linz, Paris, Stuttgart and Valencia – as well as at Hickstead, where he now returns for a final farewell with his fans.

At World of Showjumping, we wish Tripple X III a happy retirement!
