At the age of 18, Hans-Dieter Dreher's Embassy II (Escudo I x Silvio I) will retire from the sport.

The stallion has won countless of big classes under Dreher, such as the CSI5* World Cup in Leipzig, the CSI5* World Cup in Stuttgart, the CSIO5* Preis der AachenMünchener, the CSIO5* Championat of Rotterdam, the CSI4* Grand Prix of Braunschweig, the CSI3* Grand Prix of Donaueschingen, the CSI3* Grand Prix of München-Riem, the CSI3* Grand Prix of Crans Montana as well as taking victories in Ascona, Hannover, Mannheim, Paris, Oslo and Vienna.

“The day of the retirement ceremony will be a very sad day for me, but on the other hand it will be a fantastic day as we can send Embassy fit and happy into his retirement. Everyone knows how much Embassy has meant to me, I love that horse!” Dreher tells World of Showjumping.

“After the retirement ceremony, Embassy will move back to his owner where he will be used for breeding and he will also continue to be be ridden. Embassy is a horse that likes to work and he is not a horse that is happy just to go in the field,” Dreher explains.

“I wish him the happiest retirement and I am so grateful to have had the fortune to have him as my partner for so long!” Dreher says.
