Denver (Albführen's Memphis x Chico's Boy) – bred by Anton and Marleen Woertman – tops the 2020 Longines WBFSH World Ranking List for breeders of jumping horses. The WBFSH ranking accumulates all world ranking points recorded by a horse from October 1st to September 30th, and the 12-year-old KWPN gelding Denver has collected a total of 1155 points with Holly Smith (GBR) in the saddle – with his biggest wins counting the CSIO5* 1.45m La Vanguardia Trophy in Barcelona, a CSI4* 1.50m in Liverpool, a CSI3* 1.50 Grand Prix as well as a CSI3* 1.45-1.50m and a CSI3* 1.45m in Vilamoura, and a CSI3* 1.45m in Vejer de la Frontera.

Denver is followed by the 14-year-old KWPN gelding GC Chopin’s Bushi (Contendro II x Nairobi), with 1108 points. GC Chopin’s Bushi is bred by the Van der Steen-brothers and competed by Denis Lynch (IRL). With Lynch in the saddle, GC Chopin’s Bushi won this year’s CSI5* Longines FEI World Cup in Leipzig as well as finishing second in the CSI5* Grand Prix in Basel – to mention some of his top results.

Third on the ranking is Chalou (Chacco-Blue x Baloubet du Rouet), bred by Gestüt Lewitz, with 1060 points. Chalou is competed by Emanuele Gaudiano (ITA), and has five-star podium finishes from Verona, Madrid, La Coruna, Doha and St. Tropez on his list of results.

For the studbooks, KWPN tops the list with Denver, GC Chopin’s Bushi and Dana Blue (Mr. Blue x Hemmingway – bred by Jan Bocken) as their three best representatives.

KWPN is followed by Selle Francais that has Rouge de Ravel (Ultimo van ter Moude x Quouglof Rouge – bred by Jean-Noel & Priscilla Pottier), Volage du Val Henry (Quidam de Revel x Cassini I – bred by Helene Amar) and Union de la Nutria (Diamant de Semilly x Kannan – bred by Ricardo Romero) as their three best ambassadors.

BWP is third on the 2020 ranking, with King of Diamonds (Prince van de Wolfsakker x Rubioso N – bred by Eline Tack), Killer Queen (Eldorado vd Zeshoek x For Pleasure – bred by Dirk & Ann Bruggeman-Carpentier) and Jasmien vd Bisschop (Larino x Chin Chin – bred by Tom De Craene) as their top three horses.
