Edited press release from CSI2*-W Budapest
Saturday’s main class at the CSI2*-W show in Budapest, Hungary was the 1.60m Gold Tour – also a World Cup qualifier. A high-quality field got together in Budapest, and this was also reflected in the final result as the clear-cut favourites finished in the top three.
The first round was difficult – worthy of the competition standards – with only two riders delivering clear rounds and joining the jump-off. With another perfect performance, Poland's Jaroslaw Skrzyczynnski took the victory riding Chacco Amicor (Chacco Blue x Cento). Austria's Gerfried Puck on Melody vd Smidshoeve (Epleaser van’t Heike x Thunder vd Zuuthoeve) had to settle for second place. Third place went to the fastest four-faulter from the first round, Lithuania's Andrius Petrovas on Linkolns (Louis J x Calando IV).
Hungarian riders followed in fourth to sixth place: Virág Weinhardt on Chiclana 10 (Conterno Grande x Alpha D), Péter Szuhai (on Tanja (Leroi Emil x Waldus) and Zsófia Vándor (HUN) on Quintus (Quite Capitol x Lacantus).
