At the age of 15, Jerome Guery's Garfield de Tiji des Templiers (Quasimodo Z x Goldspring de Lauzelle) retires from the sport. 

With Guery in the saddle, the stallion has podium finishes from big classes at venues such as Amsterdam, Cannes, Geneva, Hong Kong, Lausanne, Mexico, Prague, Stockholm, St. Tropez and Shanghai to look back at. During their time together, Guery and Garfield de Tiji des Templiers also represented Belgium in CSIO5* Nations Cups at Lummen, Spruce Meadows and Sopot.

On his official Instagram account, Guery writes: "Sports retirement for Garfield de Tiji des Templiers! In recent years, “Gros Chat” has brought us a lot of pleasure and has taken us around the world: Miami, Hong Kong, Geneva, Doha, Shanghai, St Tropez… This great horse with a big heart has jumped at some of the most beautiful events with great success. Thanks to Garfield and thanks to his owners for trusting me by trusting me with Garfield for these years. At 15, it is now time for him to get a well-deserved sports retirement and devote himself to breeding."
