Stabling & training

The stable at Holger Hetzel's yard

Holger Hetzel Stables is located close to the Dutch border, in the beautiful country side of the lower Rhine area. The yard is placed very close to the motorway and Düsseldorf City is only 40 minutes by car. Once you arrive, you immediately feel right at home and you sense that this yard has something special about it. Holger Hetzel has been adapting the existing complex to create the ideal environment for competition horse training.

Today, the equestrian facility reflects his dedication to detail and eye for the extraordinary, and it's still expanding. The horses at Holger's yard couldn't hope for a more perfect home and perfect training facilities:

- Two spacious indoor arenas (20x50m and 30x70m) with first-rate surfaces

- One sand arena (50x90m) with all-weather surface

- A grass jumping arena with brightly coloured show jumps (80x100m)

- An all-weather, covered horse walker

- A treadmill

- Fields for the horses

The 52 spacious stables have outside windows and allow social contact between the horses. There are also washing boxes and solariums to fulfil the horses needs.

Holger Hetzel is a rider, trainer, coach, owner and business manager all rolled up into one. He runs a state of the art equestrian centre in Goch and provides professional training to riders and horses with passion, optimism, commitment, dedication to quality and professional expertise.

All of Holger's students, whatever their age or skill level, can count on getting an all-inclusive training service. It doesn't always start with buying a new horse, but otherwise the procedure is always the same. First of all an individual training plan is developed with suitable objectives for each lesson, week, month or even year. Holger helps to plan competition entries and the rider is supported at the competition when walking the course and warming up before the class. And they also get feedback after the round. That's why many riders from all over the world trust Holger Hetzel to help them improve their performance.

In the meantime the yard became a real equestrian centre with the best possibilities for international rider. This is why a lot of national and international showjumping professionals are renting stables as a temporary home between shows or- like the Americans- for their summer stay in Europe.

If you are looking for a high quality international equestrian centre you have found the right address! Holger Hetzel Stables is the perfect place to be!
