Close-Up

The first time we saw him, we fell in love with him: Emerald N.O.P. stole our hearts straight away. And we are not the only ones smitten by this amazing 12-year-old stallion by Diamant de Semilly x Carthago. Emerald has it all, and this spring he became Vice Champion at the 2016 Longines FEI World Cup Final with his long-time rider Harrie Smolders in the saddle. The pair started their success already on the youngster circuit, and jumped their way to the very top of the sport. In 2013 they were on the winning Dutch Nations Cup team in Aachen and Gijon, and in 2015 on the team that won the Nations Cup in Falsterbo. Later the same year, the two won the Longines FEI World Cup in Washington. Emerald is already a very popular choice among the breeders, and he already has several offspring jumping successfully on the international youngster circuit. All photos (c) Jenny Abrahamsson.
