Sunday morning at Madrid Horse Week was kicked off with a speed class; the Coca Cola Trophy.

The 1.45m table A competition, with 38 starters in it, quickly turned into a proper race for the money. Maikel van der Vleuten (NED) aboard the lovely 10-year-old gelding VDL Groep Quatro took the first place with a time of 48,34 seconds, making it the second win of the weekend for this pair.

Second place went to David Will (GER) on the always speedy 16-year-old mare Mic Mac du Tillard (Cruising x Galoubet A) with a time of 48,60 seconds. Marcus Ehning (GER) on the 10-year-old mare Christy (Canturo x Landlord) placed third with a time of 49,02 seconds.
